It may not be possible for you, to undertake a journey to the heart of Indonesia, its capital Jakarta, the nearby mountains, or the beautiful island of Bali - where our Ashram/Centers are "physically" located - but, that does not matter. Through this site, we are trying to reach out to you, wherever you are. We have something to share with you - that is Love, an Unconditional Love!

Anand Ashram is not just an institution - it is an extension of our spirit trying to greet you... whoever and wherever you are. You are a prince or a pauper, Muslim or Hindu, Christian or Buddhist, Easterner or Westerner - you are welcome here.....

Anand Ashram is a brainchild of one single person, that is Anand Krishna.

Though he may despise the word "brainchild" - he prefers to call it "heartchild", unconcerned with how strange the word sounds and how incorrect it may be.

A successful business career terminated by blood cancer and meetings with the enlightened masters both on physical as well as non-physical realms, made him realize that spirituality is essentially a journey within. You need no preparations, no luggage to carry - nothing absolutely. What you need is just "LOVE" - Love that emerges out of Self-Actualization through meditative way of life.

Anand Ashram itself is a product of such love, run by a small committee of dedicated friends, who are here to facilitate and ensure smooth running of the ashram.

Anand Krishna himself holds no office, though he is the founder of the Ashram. There is no membership. No master-disciple relationship is necessary. Come and listen to him, meet with him, without any obligation:

"I am not trying to collect members or disciples. I am not interested in sheeps; I am not looking for obedience. I am trying to create shepherds.

Indeed, I cannot do anything other than pose as a mirror before you. When you look at me, you are looking at yourself. Your present may resemble my past. My present can be your future. My future is still a mystery. So, do not try to sell me. Do not create another messiah out of me. I am not here to live up to your standards, and I expect no such thing from you either.

Come and let's do some sharing. I will share with you what I have and you can share with me what you have. We are all friends. "
